Thrive Counseling Center clients are adults, seniors, families and at risk adolescents.
Typical Presenting Concerns:
Typical presenting concerns include: persistent and serious psychiatric concerns, behavioral health-stress and adolescents with behavioral issues.
Services Provided:
The TEAM Program provides volunteer opportunities for persons with mental illness or mental health concerns. TEAM (Truly Exceptional Awesome Members) actively volunteers for more than 12 different non-profit organizations throughout the community.

Types of Mental Health Professionals:
Services are provided by staff licensed clinical social workers and counselors, case managers and mental health professionals. Credentials of mental health professionals include LPC, LCPC, LCSW, MSW, MA, M.Ed and two MDs.
Fees:
Fees are assessed on the basis of income and family size for Oak Park and River Forest residence. No one is denied service because of inability to pay. Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance may cover full or partial service costs.
Procedures to make a referral to the agency:
Anyone wishing to obtain services may call any number of the agency. The intake operator will ask a series of questions and make the appointment for services. No referral is necessary.
How does the agency address the diversity of the clients it serves?
Thrive Counseling Center hire diverse staff and provide staff with diversity training. Bilingual staff are also available to assist non-English speaking clients.

- Fear that someone else may harm themself or others
- Thoughts of harming yourself or others
- Domestic violence, sexual abuse and other violent crimes
- Death of a loved one

- Recreational and leisure time activities
- Greater knowledge of mental illness and recovery
- Stress management and coping skills
- Self-esteem strengthening
- Identifying personal strengths and setting goals
- Interpersonal and family relationship building
- Exposure to helpful community resources
- Employment and educational preparation
- Volunteer opportunities

- Individual Youth Counseling
- Family Counseling

- Emergency Services for runaway or locked out youth
- Counseling Services as an alternative to suspension from school
- Youth Therapists and a Substance Abuse Preventionist on-site at OPRF High School

- Transition assistance from hospital programs into the community
- Support services for homeless individuals living with mental illness (WIN Program)
- Supported housing for homeless clients living with mental illness (WCHIP Program)
